"With a challenging and almost constantly changing situation in several different plants, no two work days are the same."
Juhani’s career at Adven started after his old employer went bankrupt and some Operations Manager called and asked if he would be interested in an opportunity offered by Adven. Juhani accepted the challenge as Operations Supervisor for Genencor’s Hanko plant. A few years later, he was promoted to Maintenance Foreman and transferred to the area of Western Finland, although still overseeing operations for the Genencor plant. Encouraged by Adven, Juhani recently embarked on a chief engineer training program.
“The work offers a lot of autonomy and freedom, and the opportunity to develop and evolve. With a challenging and almost constantly changing situation in several different plants, no two work days are the same – there’s no chance of boredom setting in,” says Koskinen.
“There is mutual trust between the employees and the employer, and both are willing and able to be flexible. My colleagues and supervisors are professional and otherwise easy to get along with.
“We work with the latest equipment, and especially in mechanical maintenance, we can get the tools we need with no problem. Work safety is taken seriously, and we have access to all the safety gear we need, or we can get our hands on it as we see fit,” he sums up.
