FastPartner in Kista, Sweden, chooses renewable geothermal energy
FastPartner Ltd’s office building Sätesdalen 2 in Kista, Stockholm area, will be provided with heating and cooling based on renewable geothermal energy from Adven in the spring of 2017.
Environmental issues are a high priority for FastPartner and long-term efforts in the area are initiated systematically. When the current cooling system in Sätesdalen 2 needed to be replaced, FastPartner decided to take a holistic approach to the real estate energy management for both cooling and heating. By choosing Adven as a supplier of geothermal energy FastPartner can reduce its primary energy consumption by almost 70 percent. This enables the company to apply for an environmental certificate for the building.
”For FastPartner being a responsible company means always operating with an aim to the future. With geothermal energy provided by Adven, our office building can get an optimized energy solution and at the same time we can continue the development of the building to minimize energy consumption even further”, says Jenny Tallskog, Regional Director at FastPartner.
”This is the sixth office building in Kista that we provide with geothermal energy services. Again this is an opportunity for us to demonstrate that our energy concept is the perfect tool for real estate owners that want green technology for heating and cooling without having to invest capital or other resources”, says Jonas Häggqvist Managing Director at Adven Sweden.
The construction of the geothermal energy plant starts during this autumn, and heating and cooling deliveries starts in spring 2017.
